Shartory L. Hicks

Attorney Shartory L. Hicks is passionate about the practice of law. Attorney Hicks dedicates her time and patience in each and every case that is presented. Attorney Hicks provides zealous advocacy for her clients while providing quality legal services that suites the individualized needs of each client.

Attorney Shartory L. Hicks is originally from Norfolk, Virginia, where she attended Norfolk State University. While attending NSU, Attorney Brown received her Mediation Certification. She began a career as Mediation Coordinator for Norfolk Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court in 2004. Attorney Hicks handled over 200 cases a month dealing with issues of Divorce and Child Conservatorship. Attorney Hicks relocated and completed her studies at Kaplan University to a Bachelor’s of Science in Legal Studies in 2007.

Attorney Hicks became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 2007. Attorney Hicks represented seasoned investors, first time home buyers, and sellers with their real property needs. Throughout her career both in Real Estate and Mediation, relocated to several different states. Attorney Hicks landed in as a final stop in Houston, Texas in 2013, where she received her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston. After graduating at the top of her class, she then went on to work for the Office of the Attorney General in the Child Support Division until 2020.

Attorney Hicks is a proud member of the Downtown Group, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Family Law Section and Real Estate Law Section of the Texas Bar. When Attorney Hicks is not busy working on her clients’ matters, she spends her down time with her family and volunteers mentoring young women aspiring of becoming an Attorney.
